Flawless February 2024 Hauls

A couple of hauls from last month made their way here, as did a few from this week when I hit 'pause" on this month's no buy.

Last fall, I frolicked about NYC before Sephoria and during one of those outings, I came across a few wonderfully scented candles from Harlem Perfume Co. (formerly known as the Harlem Candle Co.) Because Sephoria was yet to come (and because I had already made some unplanned (but still well loved) purchases), I decided not to purchase any of the candles. I found them again late last month and did not resist. This Speakeasy candle has a soft, warm, slightly boozy, slightly sweet scent to it, not as smoky as I expected but good nonetheless. Plan to explore their other candle offerings; this likely won't be the last candle I pick up from the brand.  @CookieGirl1  shared on the BEAUTY NEWS 2.0 thread that Harlem Perfume Co. is one of the brands in this year's Sephora Accelerate program. I love the detailing on the inside of the box.

I don't remember how this brand (Soshe Beauty) got on my radar, but my initial plan was to pick up one, just one, lipstick, and well, one thing lead to another and here we are - a lip set bundle, a black eyeliner and two refills in different shades, and a mascara. Yeah, not sure how we got here. Will try to post swatches later this week or find a way to include one or two items in the Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge  next month.

I've enjoyed the few polishes I have from Londontown so it was an easy 'yes' when I saw this Valentine's Day Manicure Set last month.

I learned that the SEPHORA COLLECTION Clean Eye Mask Caffeine were half off from @danielledanielle   (thank you, thank you!!).I mean, suuure, it looks like I picked up a lot of these masks, but I feel like I actually restrained myself.  I decided to Buy Online, Pick-up In Store (BOPIS) and got an extra 100 points as part of the Passport to Beauty Challenge.

I went in store to pick up my eye masks yesterday (aka National Lash Day) and picked up 2 backups of Lancôme Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara 01 Waterproof Big is The New Black - this is a GOAT product for me. It really is the Greatest Of All Time. I'm in the middle of a couple of large projects and about to start another one that will keep me preoccupied for the next few months. The eye masks and mascara will keep me looking less tired than I'm sure I'll feel. 

And last, but not least ... 

I will be placing this box in the lunch room (the one furthest from my office 😆) as soon as I get into work tomorrow.

Fingers crossed 🤞 I can upload this tonight. I'm logged on so that is a plus, but I tried three times last night and got caught in the glitch that's being worked on after typing out everything.

Very satisfying haul @itsfi esp with those cookies! 😋 I enjoy the Soshe lip I have too. It’s great to see the liners, thank you, I was curious! ( Wishing I hadn’t resisted that nail set! Still want it! No…!  )

@JoSometimes, Londontown’s packaging is usually pretty simple and straightforward so the one for this set stood out, and yes, super cute!

Swatches of Soshe Beauty lipsticks and eyeliners 

• Formula is light, sheer at first but is buildable. This is 3 swipes. 
• Just Right is described as a pink nude. It shows up darker and warmer in the photos. It’s more a peachy pink IRL. 
• Speakeasy is described as a dusty rose. Shows up darker in picture; it’s a slightly brighter hue IRL.

• These shades are a little brighter IRL than they photograph here 
• Glides on beautifully
• Great staying power. Didn’t budge, even when I rubbed on the swatches. Needed soap and water and scrubbing with my nails to remove.

If swatching is any indicator, these will be good, @Samtian ! 👍🏼 Working on using my pan it! makeup as well as ones I set aside for this week’s BIC Inspired makeup capsule, but I may put a couple of these to the test over the weekend.

Every so often, there are glitches with logging on to the threads, usually when an update is in the works. @ TeamBIC is on it and working with its vendors; hoping it’s just a little while longer - miss interacting with folks here!

Awww, thank you @Samtian! All the newness and sales have made it a challenge to rein it in, but I feel good about my purchases - some tried and true on sale that make for a good restock and some newness to play with.
