@Kim888 nice haul! Have you worn any of the lipstick yet? I love lipstick and want to try the brand but was disappointed they are in palette form instead of bullet.
Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base - I don’t think I’ve ever tried MAC’s eyeshadow primer, which is odd because I’m a longtime fan of their lip primer. I'll try it with some powder shadows soon.
Paint Pots, shades Belle Epic, Moss Definitely, and Black Mirror - Moss Definitely looks more teal than green on me. In fact, if you layer Moss Definitely over Currant Affair, you’ll get Bougie. Black Mirror can be easily sheered out or built up. (Tangent: I assume it’s named after one of my favorite TV shows.) I haven’t played with Belle Epic yet, but I have plans for it.
So far, each shade I’ve put on my lids has performed on par with the classic Paint Pot shades. They need no eye primer and apply smoothly with a MAC 239 or my finger. They're fairly easy to blend out with my finger, and I bet a MAC 217 brush would work well as a blender with these. (I didn't wanna dirty another brush during my quick test, so I just used my finger to blend.) And once they’ve set, they don’t budge on my hooded eyes: no creasing or fading. My favorite cream shadows are still Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks (much more for performance than shade range), but these Paint Pots are now a very close second.
Pat McGrath Labs:
Gilty Pleasures Mini Lip Trio - I wanted to see for myself how close Elson 2 is to McGrath Muse (I didn’t have the former but do have and love the latter). Likewise for Executive Realness vs. Sorry Not Sorry. And I love minis and these were 25% off + an extra 10% with promo code, so I couldn't resist.
I should've swatched Obsessed! beneath Elson 2.
Crimson Couture Lip Kit - First I searched for comparison swatches of Elson 3 and Supreme because they look very similar in PMG’s product photos. I found a video by someone who has both shades and yep, her hand and lip swatches make Supreme look almost identical to Elson 3, maybe just a hair darker. I already have (and love) the Blood Lust liner, so now I have a backup. And I also now have a shade that’s pretty much Supreme, minus the special red branded casing and ridiculously high resale price of bot users. 🤣 Anyway, Elson 3 is beautiful, and it’s much creamier in texture than any of my other 18 MatteTrances. It looks and feels more like a LuxeTrance. ❤️ Pat needs to make this a permanent shade!
PMG Elson 3 on lips. MAC Paint Pot on one eye, shades Currant Affair, Bougie, Moss Definitely, and Black Mirror. Photo taken in warm bathroom lighting; I did some slight temperature adjustment to reduce the overall too-warm tone.
I tried to use the discount on Elson 3 set at PMG direct but I guess that it may have been a glitch @WinglessOne. That is a great haul! Enjoy your purchases.
Thanks @Loretta55 ! Yeah, the Crimson Couture kit and all Divine Rose collection items were excluded from the last sale and the additional promo code. So both discounts only applied to the mini MatteTrance trio in my order.
