It’s that time again for Beautylish’s Lucky Bags. Which ones are you hoping to snag this year regular $75, XL $150 or are you going to pass on it? Please post pictures of the ones you get. They usually go on sale the day after Christmas and ship in January so sign up to be notified of when they drop on the site and be quick because they will sell out fast.

@Loretta55  I was pretty surprised too!  I had done a little peeking to see what folks on the west coast were getting, but when I was counting my items today, I noticed there was a 7th one wrapped in black paper that felt suspiciously like it had wooden handles. I didn’t want to build myself up, so I saved it for last. I never expected to get a full set. Like ever.  I don’t have any of the Sonia G face brushes, only a couple eye brushes — and they’re awesome! I never get cool surprises like this, so I’m just happy as all get out!

Thanks @SportyGirly125 !  I know I’ve been off here forever. Life has been less than stellar over the last few years. So this was a very welcome turn of events. Hoping the trend continues 🤞

My XL bag finally came…and of course it’s disappointing. Of all things I was seeing I really did not want the DM palette, since it’s a very high priced item but not usable for me.

 

Danessa Myricks Lightwork IV palette - $125

Not at all for me, I’m a neutrals girl

Natasha Denona Mini Nude eyeshadow palette kit - $27

I love ND but I already have this palette

MOB compact and blush in shade M19 - $28

The color isn’t bad and the blush feels nice, I’ll try this one

Wayne Goss lipstick in poppy - $28

Not super exciting, but I might use this

Wayne Goss lip pencil in mauve - $14

I don’t generally use lip pencils but the color isn’t bad

Sonia G Soft Shader brush - $34

I love Sonia G brushes, but I actually already own this one

Kitsch hair clip - $10

Filler item, don’t need

Holifrog Vitamin F cleansing balm - $39

I’ll give this a try, might be useful

Good Molecules Glycolic Exfoliating Toner - $14

My skin can always use some exfoliation, will use

R+Co High Dive Moisture and Shine Creme - $18

Might be good for my daughter’s frizz

Not a bad value but not useful enough for me. Next year when I feel that FOMO coming on, I’ll remember to just use the money and buy what I want!

Oh, I'm sorry you're not too jazzed about this, @azab53. Like was mentioned below, you'll have no trouble trading the DM palette (there's someone on insta I saw willing to trade their entire regular box for it). I hope you get some good trades so it'll be worth it for you!!

Got my XL bag! Mostly what everyone else received, but a slight variation with the brushes - this Sonia G Hinoki set of 2 face brushes, which I’m super pumped about. Between it, Hindash, viseart & scrunchies I got more than I paid in value in terms of things I’ll use, even if a few things (looking at you, Wayne Goss lipstick & liner) aren’t my thing.

Beautylish 2023 Lucky bag 1.89 lb. Value and my thoughts from least favorite to most:

Decluttering:

Kitsch microderma roller $14. What a trash item; I am annoyed this is added. Will trade or declutter.

Oribe Invisible Defense spray $44. Not a product I need. Would have loved to get the Featherbalm if anyone is trading.

Slip hair tie ~$6.50. I have short hair. But at least I can give this to someone.

Unsure:

Wayne Goss eye pencil in Crystal Merlot $14. I normally keep things very streamlined with eyeliners (black liquid liner and a Charlotte Tilbury brown pencil. I like that this isn’t a black but I am not sure I am going to keep it.

Briogeo Stimulating scalp massager $18. I might actually try this but it doesn’t feel like an exciting item.

Holifrog Halo serum $58. I would be more excited if I hadn’t gotten this exact product last year and haven’t used it yet. If I use it and love it, great, I have another. But if I don’t, it will be decluttered.

Chantecaille lip veil in Ruby $48. I was really excited to get something from the brand but the color, while beautiful, isn’t as everyday as I would prefer. Would consider trading for one of the blushes!

Keeping:

Good Molecules exfoliating toner $14. I really enjoy this skincare line; Was interested in trying the sunscreen, but I will 100% use, and likely enjoy, this.

Sonia G Jumbo worker brush $38. I LOVED the Sonia G brush I got last year, I would have preferred a more practical brush shape, but I will try it.

MOB cream blush in M72/ Tawny pink $23 and case $5. This is a nice item to try and I love the color. I appreciate they included the case.

Viseart Petits Fours Lilas Deux $25.00. Would have really preferred Violetta but I like this cool tone colorways colors.

Wayne Goss palette in Amber $55. I would have MUCH preferred any of the ND palettes I have seen in other bags but I do like these colors and it’s not something I would have bought myself.

XL bag arrived today. The CT palette had a shade broken but it’s not something I’m excited about so meh LOL. I got a lot of hair stuff, which is great but I don’t use Oribe 😕 

I’m feeling middle of the road on this one, I think I like my regular bag better

Nice bag, @AznAngelLiz!! I'm sorry it wasn't too exciting, but you'll be able to get some trades, I'd think. I'd email Beautylish about the CT palette, even if you were meh about it.
