It’s that time again for Beautylish’s Lucky Bags. Which ones are you hoping to snag this year regular $75, XL $150 or are you going to pass on it? Please post pictures of the ones you get. They usually go on sale the day after Christmas and ship in January so sign up to be notified of when they drop on the site and be quick because they will sell out fast.

I haven’t seen any Chikuhodo brushes in this year’s bags yet… that’s a bit surprising. Whoever gets one will be a lucky person indeed! (Heh, not that I’m brand-biased or anything. 😄)

@WinglessOne  I'm so happy for you, and that it seems like Beautylish upped the quality of all of the bags this year!

I have the bronze palette; here are some swatches.  I dug into the creams a bit to get that level of intensity.

The top two are creams.A closeup of the two creams. It's hard to capture, but the lightest cream has a peachy shift to it- gorgeous!

Thanks for the swatches, @Ispend2much6 ! They look great. Today I’m about 55% keep that palette and 45% trade it. Still need to see if one of my local Sephoras has it (and a tester) in stock, to push me closer to either keep or trade. 

This year’s bags do seem better than last year’s, from what I’ve seen so far. Purely subjective, of course, but there seems to be better variety and more substantial items this year, instead of many bag feeling like Beautylish dumped lots of leftover unsellables into bags. I think this is also the fastest I’ve gotten a bag. Usually folks outside the west coast end up waiting longer.

That's a bummer you accidentally purchased the fair/medium bag but those lip colors are so much better than the ones I got which were obviously for fair skin. 

I own that ND cheek palette and it's really good!  You should give it a chance. But I do get it since you bought the Hourglass Tiger palette.  I also have that one and haven't used the ND Bronze cheek palette in quite awhile.

I bought the XL bag once and I have to say that I enjoy the regular bags more.  Maybe it hurts less if I get the regular bag and things don't work out since I spent less money.  The one time I got the XL bag I did try harder to make myself feel better about the purchase even though I wasn't too happy about those items either.

@guzelkiz  I was very nervous once I realized I'd ordered the wrong skin tone option, but it worked out well for me in the end. 🙂 I'm very surprised I didn't get a paler lipstick shade. While browsing Beautylish in mid-December to see what products were still discounted (usually a good indicator of what'll be in Lucky Bags), I figured most bags would end up with a Wayne Goss lipstick. I'm glad I lucked out with shade Iris. Sorry you got lipstick and liner shades that don't work for you. 😞 

Good to know the ND palette has potential! I'm still on the fence about it. I'm dying to swatch it but keep stopping myself, in case I decide to trade it. What I really need to do is visit a local Sephora store so I can swatch a tester instead. (Note to self.) 

I've had better luck with regular bags than XL bags, too. Lower buy-in probably does cushion the blow of receiving duds or unneeded repeats. I've also gotten more better-for-me products in regular bags. If I do this again in December, I'll definitely pick a regular bag again—and make sure I choose the other skin tone option next time. 😂

Overall happy with my regular bag…I won’t be using the Good Molecules toner, the Briogeo set, or the Sonia G fan brush so that’s up for trades is anyone wants any of it. Going to post in the trade thread in a bit. 

I’m excited about the MOB blush and the Hindash palette. I have the one from last year and I love it, and I’ve been wanting to try MOB. 

The Wayne Gods lipstick is in Poppy and the liner is in Mauve, totally my color!

I was seriously considering buying the monochrome palette when it first came out but talked myself out of it because I may get it in the lucky bag

 regular bag. I got Viseart palette, Wayne Goss palette, good molecules facial oil, mob lipstick and case, Wayne Goss eye pencil, Sonia g brush, and R+Co high dive creme. Overall happier than I was with last years XL bag.

@Kim888  So far, I like the color and it goes on smoothly. It unfortunately comes off easily. The urban decay lipstick I normally wear will stay on for the most part when I drink coffee. Not Mob. It’s all gone already
