It’s that time again for Beautylish’s Lucky Bags. Which ones are you hoping to snag this year regular $75, XL $150 or are you going to pass on it? Please post pictures of the ones you get. They usually go on sale the day after Christmas and ship in January so sign up to be notified of when they drop on the site and be quick because they will sell out fast.

The possibilities and like seeing what everyone is getting is definitely fun!! I like to think of it as getting a bunch of things to try that I probably wouldn't have picked up (like I think, like, for example) the Hindash or a CT or a WG palette would have intrigued me since I haven't tried those brands and it would be a nice way to try. But you're right, nothing I've seen in the boxes has been like, "oooh wow" (except someone's like multiple Sonia G. brush set, lol); but there's been a lot of, "that would have been neat to try."

I just realized I haven’t posted my XL bag yet! Overall I’m pretty happy with my bag this year, I’ll use everything except for the retinol cream. I was hoping for a bigger eyeshadow palette, but at least I got some eye products. Most of the value is in the brush set, but I’m not used to using natural bristle brushes. I love my Hourglass ones!

Danessa Myricks Infinite Chrome Flakes in Starburst - $25 It looks soooo pretty, I can imagine lots of fun holiday looks with it

Kitsch Towel Scrunchies - $18

I can definitely use these, and I’m glad I won’t have to talk myself into spending so much for scrunchies 😳

Good Molecules Glycolic Exfoliating Toner - $14 So far I’ve liked other GM products so it’ll be nice to try out, and if it agrees with me it’ll be a way cheaper alternative to other AHA products I use 

Chantecaille Luminescent Eye Shade Giraffe in Burnished Brown - $70 It’s a gorgeous bronzy color, totally in my wheelhouse 

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit in Universe Unlocked - $80 I love HG products, but I’m not sure I need this palette so I’ll put it up for trade 

Natasha Denona Triochrome Palette - $129 Lovely palette but I wouldn’t most of the colors so I’ll put it up for trade 

Sonia G Smooth Buffer Brush - $ 70 I’ll be putting this up for trade, don’t really need a brush like this

Viseart Petits Fours Lilas - $25 I’ll be putting this up for trade, I have enough neutral eyeshadows

Wayne Goss Luxury Cream Lipstick in Walnut - $28 Not my color so I’ll try to trade or give it to my MLBB friends 

Wayne Goss Essential Lip Pencil I’m Natural Berry - $14 Same reaction as the other Wayne Goss lip product I received 🤷‍♀️

 

  Total Value - $473. Awesome XL bag, even if every product isn’t perfect for me each item was genuinely a great surprise. What a great mix of items and price points, hope next year lives up to this!

@LCResz  That’s a great bag! I got the toner too.  Don’t use it two days in a row immediately. The second day I woke up looking 10 years older because my skin was so dry. I don’t have that issue with my standard AHA products. It’s good but it’s strong.

Thanks for the advice @Indy701 ! I’m in my 40s and AHAs are definitely beneficial, but yeah, no need to get every aggressive!

@LCResz  I am also part of the 40s club. My skin has changed so much the last decade in terms of dryness.
