@DanielleZuk When I was in my goth period I got some nice eyeshadows and lipsticks from MAC. You should definitely find something that suits your goth preference!

Urban Decay's Naked Smokey palette with a nice white shadow. Best part is that you can probably find it in stock at your local Nordstrom Rack for under $25.

@DanielleZuk If your friend doesn’t have this, I like it. The colors are darker than they appear in the photo. It’s a nice case too and comes with an eyeliner.  Urban Decay has on sale on their site

viseart makes some good dark palettes. i second kat von d, some colors are brighter but i bet any goth would still appreciate them.

Yep, Kat Von D has some terrific palettes both on Sephora and in her online store.  Definitely recommend for Goth.
