Advice in using Alterna caviar cc cream & hydra-gelee

I recently ordered this rural set: https://www.sephora.com/product/caviar-anti-aging-P422103?skuId=1970714. Wondering what the difference is between the gel and cream (other than that the cream says it can als be used as a finisher on dry hair). Can anyone advise as to when to favor one over the other or how to use them in combination?

The hydra gel is like a treatment while the CC is a styler. I Use hydra gelee first, I only put it mid shaft to ends. Then drop a small amount of the CC in to your palm and run you hands together to warm it up before you run it through your hair, again sticking to the mid shaft to ends. I predder to use the CC on damp hair then I'll usually let my hair air dry.The CC helps to give a smooth blow out.
