nice perfume that men actually like?

I have a boyfriend we've been dating for almost 2 years now and he doesn't like any of my perfumes and he says it just smells like alcohol so I was wondering if any of you ladies know any good smelling perfume men like?

I agree with what everyone said. I think that you should wear what you like, but I like the idea of taking him with you to pick out some fragrances that he may like as well. That way he will also know what to get you as a gift! A good way of finding some would be to try some of the Sephora Favorites Fragrance samplers. 🙂

I get the most compliments from people when I wear Armani Code for women. However, I think the scent wears really well with my body chemistry. Like was mentioned below, perfumes are really personal. I would find general smells your bf likes and see if you can find a perfume you enjoy that has similar notes.

As a guy, I am a complete sucker for a lady wearing the original Poison by Christian Dior (1985). See photo below.

As @pocketvenus said, you could always try a Concentrated Perfume Oil (CPO), an attar or a pure Parfum like CHANEL N°5 Parfum 0.25 oz  or GUERLAIN - Shalimar Parfum because they contain no alcohol, only oils. It may not seem like a there is a lot in those little bottles but a little goes a long way and will last a quite a long time.

Though I told you what I really enjoy on a lady, remember that all tastes are different. The both of you could always go to the local fragrance shop and try different fragrances out to see what both of you enjoy. In the end, if he still does not like what you are wearing, he could always be replaced. 😛  Remember that there are a LOT of people out there that love fragrances.

@Meganb16  You could always try an oil based or solid perfume. These tend to wear closer to the skin. Some suggestions

• MAISON LOUIS MARIE - Perfume Oil Discovery Set
• Jo Malone has solids but I can't get it to tag
• Diptyque has solids in their most popular scents
• Byredo has oils of some of their more popular scents
• Libertine Fragrance is a niche Canadian house with oil versions for all of its scents
• A lot of the designers have oil versions so check to see if one of your favourites has one! Good luck!
