I’m looking for something similar to Rea by Giardino Benessere perfume with warm powdery leathery woodsy notes

Hi everyone,

I’ve been looking for Rea by Giardino Benessere perfume but it’s not available in Canada and I think nor in North America. I can’t find anything that is similar, strong and eau de perfum.

The perfume smell like powder which probably comes from Orris root. Other notes are leathery, woodsy, earthy and smokey and maybe a bit floral.

Basically smells clean! I can’t remember if it’s more in the sweeter side or citrusy. Generally I don’t like citrusy perfumes and I tend to lean towards sweet and spicy ones. 

• Do you have any recommendations, please?
• Examples: I do like Santal Blush by Tom Ford, Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford, Obre Leather by Tom Ford,Santal Carmin by Atelier Cologne, Santal Royal by Guerlain, and Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

I looked it up on fragrantica, and it sounds like such a lovely scent! One that is listed as a "reminds me of" scent is Feminity by Mancera. It does sound a bit different, but might be worth smelling anyway.

Top notes: Leather, tangerine, pink pepper, coffee

Middle Notes: Violet, Heliotrope, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley

Base notes: caramel, vanilla pod, white musk, sandalwood, amber and oakmoss.

It seems like it's missing that dusty Orris aspect.

I've never smelled Rea but I'm familiar with the other scents you listed.

You might like Serge Luten's Daim Blond. It's a very clean leather and so soft with powder and iris/orris, it's more like suede. There's a touch of apricot sweetness, it's quite nice. I would try to source a vintage bottle if possible with the serif font label.

Hermes' Cuir d'Ange is also a clean leather with powder/iris, a little smoky and floral. It's lighter than the list you've provided though.

You can also try looking for other iris leathers as this is a very common combo in perfumery.
