It's most scentsational day of the year (:D)!
I know that so many of us LOVE to wear fragrance oil and perfume from the likes of Tom Ford, Atelier, Jo Malone and so many others. Not to mention, we may or may not each have our own hoard of rollerballs we're "planning on testing out."
Regardless of your go-to scent just one spritz can bring back the best memories or even change your mood. In honor of this wonderful holiday, let's talk about our favorite fragrances and show off our fragrance collections (see our office stash above).
What are you holy-grail fragrances?! Show & tell!
I love this thread!! ❤️
It is so, so, so difficult to pick favourites............................ I do find myself always returning to:
CdG's Original
ELDO's Fat Electrician
Frédéric Malle's Noir Epices, Une Fleur de Cassie
L'Artisan Parfumeur's Dzongkha and Timbuktu
Puredistance's M
I used to love Tom Ford's Oud Wood. I don't know what happened, if the formula changed or my skin chemistry or something else, but it just smells too thin on me now... like it lacks a certain depth or darkness. I often think about repurchasing but it's always been such a disappointment when I do a skin test, I can't justify it...
My very humble perfume collection 🤪 (full size only 😂)
I have a pretty small collection, but they all get lots of love! Details in the drop below.
My little collection
Maison Margiela Replica By The Fireplace: I wore this almost every day this past winter! The fragrance lasts all day on my skin.
Derek Lam 10 Crosby Silent Street: This was my free full size cash in from one of the Holiday sets a couple of years ago. I really enjoy this fragrance but it only lasts a couple of hours on my skin.
Maison Margiela Replica Lazy Sunday Morning: My new favorite springtime frangrance - just recently purchased based on how much i loved By The Fireplace. Smells like flowers and fresh laundry - but in a yummy way!
YSL Black Opium: Love this guy but I typically only use for dates or events - it's a pretty sophisticated and strong scent
Chloe Love Story DS: I give away most DS perfumes since I am pretty picky about scents. However, I love this little guy and dread the day I run out.
TOCCA Giulietta: I would say this is my "signature" scent. I also carry around the rollerball 🙂
Not pictured - all my little sample vials that I typically try once then give away to the ladies at work.
My fragrance collection is admittedly excessive, so I won't bother posting a picture here.
But as for scents I have loved over the years and keep coming back to -
Guerlain Shalimar (Unpopular opinion: I actually also like the Souffle flanker)
Guerlain Terracotta for the summer humidity
Diptyque Eau Duelle EdP
Diptyque Volutes
And lately - Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit
And always some sort of rose - Aerin Evening Rose, JM Red Roses or Velvet Rose & Oud, Diptyque Eau Rose.
I'm having Diptyque Eau Duelle EDP on my love list as i'm having a kick with Diptyque line lately @lachaton 😉
I'm such a sucker for Maison Margiela's Replica line-- ESPECIALLY Jazz Club, At the Barber's, and By the Fireplace! I WISH Sephora had more of the masc/gender neutral scents available in value sizes~
@Animel I LOVE Jazz Club. I’ve gone thru two of the mini sizes and may have to talk myself into a full $ize soon.
Recently I've been loving Michael Kors Wonderlust, it lasts all day on me and smells amazing. My old standby is always DKNY Be Delicious because it smells so fresh and vibrant. I used the Kat Von D ones for a while too when they first came out. Yay for fragrance!!
My current favorites are Jo Malone’s Orange Blossom and Ellis Brooklyn Sci Fi.
Marc Jacobs: Mod Noir, Dot, Cucumber, Daisy, Daisy Eau so Fresh
I love Marc Jacobs perfumes 😍 I have a small collection that are shown here plus a couple more I couldn't find lol Love how they last on the skin and always seem fresh 💜🌸🌷🌺🌻
Have you tried MJ Decadence @melissapurple22? It's more sweet, less floral. Divine Decadence is good too. I love them both!
I have @RachFace2921 that one and the Honey are the two I couldn't find lol love all them for different parts of the year and depending on what I am doing ☺️
@KatieBT My go-to scent is Estee Lauder's Pleasures. It just smells so perfect to me. I enjoy wearing it, and smelling it on others.
When the April sale comes, and I'm thinking of trying Pleasures Intense.
As for scents I'd love to try, I'm quickly becoming enamored with Jo Malone and *need* to go in-store and sample every-single-one.
I've always leaned toward light, fresh fragrances. Having allergies, my go to fragrances are Philosophy Amazing Grace or Pure Grace because, being in the medical field, we are not suppose to wear anything heavy. I've had patients tell me how good I smell(just by wearing only the lotion). My other fragrance is L'occitane Lemon Verbena which reminds me of summer time! I started wearing that a little while ago, wishing for spring and summer!😉
I didn't even know there was a National Fragrance Day! Over the last few years I've gone from trying new perfumes to re-purchasing the following:
1. Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum
2. Dior - Miss Dior Cherie
I think I'm on my 3rd bottle of each and I would definitely repurchase them when I runout. Another perfume I love is Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay, especially in the summertime. I have a few others, but the fact that I'm not sure which ones proves how its time to donate them to new homes.
