Clean Fragrance

Let's talk about clean Fragrance. I prefer clean over chemicals. Chemicals can really effect your well being.

Re: Clean Fragrance

The Clean brands all use chemicals as well but yes, some chemicals are more toxic than others. A safer fragrance is a very complicated matter. Generally, people, myself included, feel safer with natural ingredients rather than synthetic ones but sometimes naturals can cause issues as well which is why IFF has banned some natural ingredients. As well, many of the Clean fragrance brands use synthetics. If you want a fragrance that performs for hours and remains consistent from bottle to bottle, there needs to be synthetic aromachemicals.

Phlur used to list every ingredient with a breakdown of what it does which I'd never seen before, but unfortunately, ownership changed hands and it does not do this anymore. It would be great to see more companies doing this but it's essentially giving away your scent's formula.

Personally, I have just accepted that using perfumes probably increases my exposure to carcinogens and such but I try to reduce this elsewhere!

Re: Clean Fragrance

Agreed! The "Clean at Sephora" line of perfumes keeps growing, which is promising! More and more consumers are wanting clean perfumes! I'm so excited Henry Rose just came to Sephora and I'm excited to try 5 Sens and The Maker...both new perfume brands that meet the Clean at Sephora standards.
