What happened to Bare Minerals loose eye shadows?

Anyone know what’s going on? Are they being discontinued? I can’t find them anywhere (other than Nordstrom having like 2 on their website). I don’t live near a Bare Minerals store either. I love that formulation - any other shadows just don’t lay down as smooth as the loose shadows did. I’ll be so sad if they are discontinuing them. I emailed their customer service directly but got a super vague answer like “at this time, they are not discontinued” but even on their website, there is a limited selection. I blame the popularity of palettes for this. 😡

Hi, @emily8880!  I love Bare Minerals loose shadows.  I noticed they stopped carrying many of these shadows maybe 6+ months ago. There is a store near-ish me.  I've been thinking about going to the Sephora in the same location.  Maybe next weekend I'll have time to make a trip and can find out what's going on.

In the meantime, I actually found a loose eyeshadow that I like just as much if not more:  Meow Cosmetics [meowcosmetics(dot)com].  I highly recommend checking out this indie company.  She has a lot of light colors.  The best part is you can buy samples (which I do most of the time!).

Hmm, usually when you can't find a product anywhere it means that it has been discontinued or in rare instances, reformulated. It's weird that bareMinerals CS gave you such a vague answer, though. I'd recommend stocking up on what you can find and also start looking for a new favorite eyeshadow formula. Sorry.

ETA: I was able to find a bunch of bareMinerals loose eyeshadows at Ulta, Macy's, bareMinerals direct, and QVC. There are also 30 shades available at Nordstrom. By any chance are you in Canada, @emily8880? I'm in the US and could easily find numerous sites that still carry these shadows.

I’m in Chicago. Unfortunately it’s too late because everything that’s left is dark or shimmer shades. I wanted to stock up on light/neutrals to use as neutral bases. Weird that you found so many on QVC. I just did a search and didn’t find any, other than 1 option in a gift value set. There are only 2 shades on Nordstrom that are a neutral matte. Everything else is shimmer or glitter. Already picked those 2 up. Same for Macy’s, Ulta, etc. 98% of what they are selling is glimmer/shimmer in darker shades. Looks like Bare Minerals did a restock on their own site but still, they used to offer more like 40+ eye shadows. And a LOT more range in neutrals.

Ah, okay. You didn't specify, so I thought you meant all bareMinerals loose shadows, not just the light/neutral mattes. That's also why I wondered if you were based in Canada (Canadians usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to item availability).

Oh, and another option could be looking for eyeshadows on Ebay. Not ideal, but it's worth a shot.
