Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

Hello,

I recently ordered the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Pallete and now I see why it was final sale at Nordstrom Rack. The quality is disappointing. I should have researched it before ordering. Ok, so here is my question: is there a way to salvage this pallete by buying a high quality eye brush? The problem is dustyness/color payoff especially of the lighter shades. I currently have only drug store eye brushes - real techniques. Not sure if investing in a better brush would make a real difference. Or, should I use my money to buy the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Shadow Palette? I can do either but not both - tight budget at the moment. I have hooded eyes and I am definitely look for a matte shades that I can enjoy wearing to work.
