Too Faced Shadow Insurance texture

Hello!  I just received a tube of Too Faced Shadow Insurance which also happens to be my first tube of eyeshadow primer ever.  Is it supposed to have a lumpy/grainy texture?  After I rub it in it's smooth...

I've never had this happen with any of my shadow insurance primers. Kind of odd. I would exchange it for a new one. I do have to knead it before using though, as the formula seems to separate and turn a little oily feeling if I don't.
