@Ispend2much6 I have never actually given this any thought. I shop almost exclusively at Sephora for beauty, skincare, and fragrance and have maybe shopped at Ulta 2-3 times over the past 10 years, and those were online orders. In terms of proximity there was never an Ulta close enough vs. countless Sephora’s in NYC. In terms of cornering the market, Sephora’s had me on a leash for years. 😐

I guess assuming they are matching Ulta, if a Sephora was more convenient maybe someone would stop there instead. Or if you have free shipping. But it just seems sketchy to completely copy it @Ispend2much6. Yeah, we are pawns. I would love to see the data behind it though. If Sephora gains business and Ulta loses it because of a same sale.

@ShortErica   Someone posted an article from Market Watch on the Beauty News thread that said Ulta's sales/expectations were down.  Sephora has Ulta beat for skincare, I think, if only for a few popular brands like Drunk Elephant.  Skincare seems to be the hot money maker for beauty companies right now, more than color cosmetics.

Yeah, I think the buy buy buy trend has faded @Ispend2much6. People almost have release fatigue because there's something new so often. I wonder how they compare haircare wise.
