Raccoon eyes!

So, I have dark circles ALWAYS under my eyes, with a bit of puffinessthat seems to accentuate them. I have literally never found a product or concealer that has made them unnoticeable. I have thought about getting fillers in my tear trough area in hopes that it would help, but haveheard very mixed reviews about it- not to mention the price! Does anyone have this problem that has found products that actually work? I use a peach concealer in addition to the shape tape concealer and still feel like a raccoon 😩

RE: Raccoon eyes!

I’ve got a similar problem. What I have is both a shadow and discoloration. So for the shadow (which is by they inner corner to the side of my nose), I use a slightly (like half a shade) lighter than my skin tone concealer. I like the thicker ones like It Cosmetics or my new fave is Nars matte concealer (in the pot). I use that concealer brush from Sephora that looks a bit like a finger pad. Then for straight up under the eye I use a skin colored concealer, also a thicker. So for my skin tone I use the IT cosmetics bye bye under eye for under my eye and the Nars doe that shadow. Not sure if I’m describing it right but my shadow is what always gives me this super sleepy/haggard look and droops down. I have a lady who sometimes does my makeup for events and she uses the Bobbi Brown dark peach plus the concealer in the same way on me. Plus, always use a good eye cream.

Bye bye undereye Iluminator

Re: Raccoon eyes!

Hey @Amichsmith, I've spent a better part fo the last few weeks trying to address this specific issue. I have hereditary dark circles that are accentuated by hollows under my eyes. I've found a corrector (based on both the colour of your dark circles, not just the colour of your skin tone) has helped a lot. I am personally currently using the Becca Peach (its really a lot more orange) corrector. I find their specific undereye dark circle correctors don't work as well, but these are great. I also use shape tape on top and it covers the orange right up. Remember though you need the tiniest of amounts (a small grain of rice for both eyes) of corrector and just apply it where the darkness is worst. Blend it in with your fingers can help too. Hope this helps!

There's a link to Brianna Stanko's video about a concealer cocktail that is supposed to be really great. It is colorescience total eye renewal and osmosis concealer. I haven't tried it myself b/c of the expense, but I am going to try it when I can afford to. She said that most concealers don't work on her either, but this cocktail worked for her. Anyway, for whatever it is worth, there ya go. 🙂 I sure hope it helps! Have a beautiful day!
