How to Prevent Mascara Smudging?

I've always had the issue of my mascara smudging onto my eyelid right underneath my eyebrows. I currently wear the waterproof Better than Sex mascara but I still get smudges. It's happens throughout the day because my eyelashes are long, especially with the mascara on, and rub against the skin. Does anyone have any tips to prevent it from rubbing off?

I use waterproof mascara from buxom. to keep it from smudging i use concealer under my eyes and then i use a translucent powder to set my under eyes. i reapply it if my skin starts getting oily bc that'll make my mascara smudge.

Well, that mascara has a bad habit of 'travelling' on me in general.  I wish it was because I had your long lashes issue but alas no.  

Have you tried tubing mascara?  It doesn't smudge and is super fun to remove cause it comes off in tubes that look like fun spider legs!!   Blinc cosmetics does a great one!!  @Anonymous
