What’s everyone’s favorite eyeshadow brand/color? Mine is urban decay’s half baked 🎂 I don’t think I could live without it 😬

I wish I'd never met Natasha Denona shadows, because now I'm thoroughly spoiled. If I never use another brand, I'll be happy! Her metallics in particular are out of this world and my favorites would probably be Rustic from Biba and Varis and Alchemist from Gold.

I haven’t bought any of her stuff yet, the prices give me a bit of a sticker shock compared to other eyeshadow palettes but I’ll have to try her stuff one day! 😄

@lanunu The sticker shock is real! I only purchased the Gold palette because I managed to snag a $100 Rouge reward. Once I tried it, I was sold! I still only buy her stuff during a sale, but it's actually worked out for me in the long run because I've cut *way* down on the number of palettes I buy.

I am obsessed with ANastasia Beverley hills norvina eye shadow. It is just amazing. Good for an everyday look and a night look. Very versatile but you will need a good set of brushes.

I’ll try not to list too many things per brand. 😄 Pardon the face spam; I wanted to show a few examples of these shadows in action. 

ColourPop: Jelly Much in the shade Foxes. I love several Jelly Much shades (some perform much better than others), but Foxes is my favorite. 

Pat McGrath Labs: 

- La Vie en Rose palette. It’s my favorite of her 6-pan mini motherships. 

- The shade Corruption from the Bronze Temptation 6-pan palette: one of my favorite duochromes by any brand. 

- Dark Matter Pigment: it’s slightly different from the Dark Matter pressed shadow in her palettes. I use this single pigment often to smoke my outer corners. 

Nov. 2018: ColourPop Foxes on lid, PMG Corruption on brow bone.

Viseart: Editorial Brights palette. Best set of highly pigmented colorful mattes I’ve ever worked with. Also the Dark Mattes palette for various smoky eye looks. In fact, all my favorite mattes are made by Viseart. 

Make Up For Ever: several of their single metallics and shimmers. 

Aug. 2018: MUFE single shadows, plus a Viseart Dark Mattes shade in the crease.

Bobbi Brown: Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks. These perform like a dream with no creasing on my hooded eyes. My favorite shades are Dusty Mauve and Golden Pink: I can pop either one on the inner half of my lid, finger-blend it out, add a little black for smokiness (PMG Dark Matter Pigment!), and call it a day/night. I travel with these. 

June 2019: Bobbi Brown Golden Pink and PMG Dark Matter Pigment, with an Urban Decay blue eyeliner.

Natasha Denona: Her 5-pan palettes have great color stories. My favorite of those is number 5. 

Sephora Collection: Colorful Shadow & Liner eyeshadow sticks. My favorite shades are My Boyfriend’s Jeans and Kaki.

Come to think of it I think I have used MUFE shadows for a peacock look and I paired it with pink/orange lipstick. It looked really cool I just don’t have that palette anymore ☹️

MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Color Eye Shadow seems pricey at about $7 USD per gram. But if you also buy a magnetic palette, you’ll get a discount on the individual shadows. I highly recommend MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Color Refillable Makeup Palette - XL size (it’s still a pretty small size; it can hold 6 MUFE pans): I have a few of them and they’re perfect for travel. If you buy that palette and 6 shadows, each shadow works out to just $3.90 USD per gram. It’s a great deal! 

Honestly, I think anyone can pull off that peacock eye look. 🙂 It might not be an everyday or work appropriate look (depending on one’s workplace rules about makeup) for everyone, but that color scheme looks good on pretty much everyone as far as I’m concerned. And even if I thought it didn’t, I’m not the eyeshadow police: I have no business telling people what they can’t wear. 💙 So I say, go for it!

I use Urban Decays Naked Ultimate Basics for daily use. It creates an awesome smokey eye so easily. Thats my go to eyeshadow palette.
