I know everyone is obsessed with warm tones... don't get me wrong I love them too but lately I have been wanting to try more cool toned eye looks that don't make my fair skin look bizarre.

OMG i totally hear ya!  Warm shadows look terrible on me so I've just been waiting for the current copper/red/warm shadow fad to wear itself out.  Unfortunately most of my favorites are now discontinued, but here's a couple others:

I have that Laura Mercier palette too and I absolutely love it. I don't have the Pat but I'm lusting after it. Along the lines of Nude Dip, there's also Viseart Cashmere and Charlotte Tilbury's Sophisticate palette. I like Cool Mattes by Viseart as well. Surratt makes some awesome single shadows in cooler tones.

Funny I was contemplating adding Viseart to that list!  You read my mind!  And now I have to check out that Charlotte Tilbury!

thanks so much! I really appreciate it your recommendations! And I actually look sooooo bad in warm tones unless done properly. For me I feel like cool tone looks can be so beautiful and are so easy to achieve I just need to find some great shadows.... have you looked into the new Chloe morello x ciate one? I haven't tried ciate shadows but am hopeful

now that you mention it, I wonder if the current warm shadow craze is responsible for my inexplicably weird no-buy behavior this year???

@m3rc3d3s no problem!  as you can tell, we have many eyeshadow junkies around here 🙂  You know I haven't gotten my hands on any Ciate palettes yet, although the photos look so lush and tempting!  If you do get one, let us know how you like it! 🙂
