Eyeliner for contact lenses users

Ladies, does anyone know about a good eyeliner for waterline that doesn't transfer / smudge to your contact lenses ? Thankssss xoxo

Oh gosh, I gave up on eyeliner a long time ago.  I wear hard contacts and am very wary of accidentally painting eyeliner onto the lens.  Similarly with eyeshadows that have chunky glitter particles i.e. the Stila liquid eyeshadows.  I can't wear those because the glitter particles can stick to the lenses and it's quite painful.

Actually, a large part of that could be your contact lens brand. I used to have that issue and it would ruin my lenses. I said something to my eye doctor and he said materials can all react differently. He put me in a newer lens material and I don’t have an issue now. I have everything from ELF’s jumbo liner to Rimmel London liner, to Urban Decay liner to Marc Jacobs liner and have not had anymore issues. I know it’s not the solution you’re probably looking for, but hopefully the info helps.

Yes Please! What brand contacts do you use now? ... my Acuvue Oasys soft lenses feel like little magnets - concealer, cream shadow, powder shadow, every type of eyeliner, every kind of mascara.... I’ve tried them all ... and all make oily smudges that I can’t get rid of. Finding information about the material science and the ionic charges associated with them is my next strategy to understand the science behind what is making everything stick to my lenses like glue - but tracking that info down on the internet is more challenging than expected. So contact lens wearers lucky enough to NOT know this dreaded cloudiness please give up the goods; and list which brand/type keeps your peepers pristine?
