Eye techniques for almond-shaped Caucasian eyes?

Advice on good techniques, beyond the basics, for eyes of this shape? I don't have East Asian eyes, but I seem to have a more extreme almond shape than a lot of white girls. They're also hooded, though I couldn't quite get that across in a selfie. Many techniques seem to just get lost on my hidden eyelid, or smear.

I would recommend trying a winged eyeliner or using a dark shadow to mimic a winged eyeliner effect. try winging it out straight or upwards to give your eyes appear to be a different shape
