Does every eyeshadow look when blending require a transition shade/color?

Lately, I have gotten a little bolder with eyeshadows. I am playing with more colors and looks. Blending, colors in the crease etc. I have experimented with some different transition colors.  I have a question. Does every eyeshadow look require a transition shade when blending?

Hi, @HusbandsWifey !  I usually use a transition shade, but not always.  It depends on how many colors I'm using and what look I'm going for.  I like using a light neutral color.

@HusbandsWifey It really depends on the eye look. There are times I just use a nude shade to blend my eye shadow together. Makeup has no rules.
