Sephora brands to research before the spring sale!
Concealer: I've used 'it' ##bye bye under eye for years. Just considering options. Need pretty good coverage for darker circles
Eye pencil that will STAY... currently doing better with Sephora's ##kohl pencil, still doesnt stay great and using ##Anastasia's eye prime
Love Urban Decay ##Perversion mascara. Anything similar I'm missing
Brows: ##Benefit kabrow, or a cheaper drugstore NYT powder brush...
My makeup is simple and not dramatic, but my lashes are the best feature.
I need to come in and get makeup done for new ideas.
I never found a mascara that wowed me until recently. I purchased a Sephora Favorites Mascara set and I tried PAT McGRATH LABS Dark Star Volumizing Mascara 0.43 fl oz / 13 mL @Susanmkc . I wear eyeglasses and you can actually see my eyelashes. I have tried multiple eye primers but I keep going back to Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Eyeshadow Primer 0.41 oz/ 11 g . My eyeshadow lasts for about 12 hours without creasing when I am wearing it.
@Susanmkc Like @Ispend2much6 I use a colour corrector under my eyes. My most used is the Smashbox Smashbox X Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector . I dab a bit on right on the dark area and then put on my foundation, and concealer. Lately my favourite concealer is the Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer and Daytime Eye Cream . I'm older (40ish) with fine lines and VERY dark circles.
As for mascara, I like the UD Perversion, a large part of what I like is the natural bristle brush. My three current favourite that I'd compare to the UD would be #Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume 2 Mascara Black Vinyl Vol 2 , the Yves Saint Laurent The Shock Volumizing Mascara 1 Asphalt Black and the MILK MAKEUP Mini KUSH High Volumizing Mascara 0.13 oz/ 4 mL .
Like you, my make up is very simple, but I love a good lash!
Let us know if you end up picking up anything new!
@missjeanie I have horrible dark circles, and I started using this eye cream (it's really a gel,) after reading all of the hype about it- Face Theory Ocuwake Eye Cream.
The dark circles are diminished immediately after using it. I've been using it mostly twice a day for 2 weeks, but even after skipping an application it helps.
I don't see any ingredients that would be pigments used to conceal shadows, so it really must be that effective.
@Ispend2much6 the eye cream you're referring to is the smashbox x Becca?
@lmaster No, it's the Face Theory one- I'm starting to play with my FaceTheory haul from a month ago so I can report back on the hauls thread.
I forgot that I have a code that can give 20% off from their direct site (I earn points also.) If anyone wants to use that, please let me know. I am getting an error message trying to send private messages right now (reached my limit although it's the first one.) @missjeanie @Loretta55
@Ispend2much6 I would love the code!! Have you tried sending a pm again? Sometimes it gives me that error message and a few minutes later, it will let me send it,,, thank you!!
@lmaster This will be an all-day thing for me; it's so annoying.
Thanks @Ispend2much6 ! I’m going to order!
@missjeanie Hope you love it!
Thank you!! @Ispend2much6 that is annoying!!
I ordered the eye cream right after I saw your post @Ispend2much6 . I am batting zero on discount codes this week. I have been stalking the Fenty Beauty website for the gloss heat to be offered in Lavender Savage. I ordered it immediately on Wednesday at full price. I already received it but I paid full price.
I just ordered the eye cream based on your review @Ispend2much6. Thank you very much for your enabling. Hopefully it will work for me. I almost gave up trying.
@Loretta55. I hope I helped! I get nervous making recommendations.
Please don’t feel nervous making recommendations @Ispend2much6. I am currently using a lab sample of an eye cream from Peter Thomas Roth and I am not seeing any results.
@Ispend2much6 Interesting.... I've tried so many creams over the years I've given up on them of late. My dark circles are both hereditary and due to hollows. The most effective thing I've tried is under eye fillers. I should just go do that again as it's been a few years. That said... I'm so not above trying a miracle cream again lol!
@missjeanie I'm in the same exact boat as you. The cream is only about $15.
@Ispend2much6 Well for 15$, I'll have to do it for science. I'm over the 100% eye creams now. For 200$ I can get filler lol. Okay, now I'm into the idea of a new one to try out!
I am scared of needles @missjeanie @Ispend2much6 so I am really hoping that this eye cream works.
@Loretta55 I was super nervous to have the filler done. Especially around my eyes. But honestly it was sooooo much easier than I thought it would be. But I’m game to try this out too! I tagged it in my ‘order next week when you decide if you’re going into the US’ list lol
@missjeanie I did some research on eye fillers last night, and because of a few medical issues they are not recommended for me. I cannot stress how upset I am right now. My skin is in good shape, (although starting to sag,) and my eye bags are the most obvious aging effects of my face (although I do see some who are 10+ years younger than me with the same.)
