100 Shades of Eyeshadow Challenge

Inspired by @Samtian 's new year's resolution and the 100 Days of Lipstick Challenge started by @snoflakefaerie ! I thought it would be fun to do the same thing with eyeshadows!!

I have so many eyeshadow shades I never wear!  The 100 days of lip challenge has really encouraged me to branch out! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to make my way through my whole collection using different shades each day! Share some eye looks or swatches - whatever's easier!

Forgot I had Yves Saint Laurent Couture Mini Clutch Eyeshadow Palette 100 Stora Dolls and decided to give it a go. It's hard to describe how pretty the finish is IRL but the colors weren't quite what I expected and pulled a little olive. Creates a very fall foliage sort of look though and think it would be gorgeous on the right person. I wish they made this in more shade combos!

@PDXXXX  This is so pretty on you 🥰.  I wonder why it pulled olive-y ish ?  When you swatch it can you pick up any olive tones?  It’s a beautiful palette!

@Cissy63 Truth be told, even my nearly identical cousin thinks we both have light olive skin. I'm not sure though. I played with it again a little to make sure it wasn't whatever eye primer I used last time, then swatched it and added an olive skin tone color palette next to it for comparison to see where I was getting this. Mostly I see something going on with shade 1 (top left) in the particles that could be just warmth. I think it looks cooler in the palette (the advertising photos are very true to how it looks in person) but pulls far warmer when applied than expected. Not necessarily in a bad way at all whether it's truly olive or just warm:

I love the Stora Dolls quad @PDXXXX. That’s so interesting that it pulls olive-y for you - it looks good! YSL has released more of these quads - what color family or color combo would be ideal for you?

@itsfi Stora Dolls is lovely. I've considered getting a new one because the finishes are unreal: I really couldn't do them justice w/the pic I took with my iPhone. I have so many similar warm palettes that my eye keeps being drawn to Over Noir for the most part. I've been trying to hold off though, it's hard even looking at how it swatches again answering this not to go for it 😂 Do you have one of their quads?

@Samtian thank you! The picture really doesn't do justice to how pretty the finish it is. I think it's a great palette - definitely recommend if you're ever thinking about it and like those tones.
