@mahikasaxena No not at all! In fact, for a while, I was using it nightly and I had no issues. The only reason I stopped was because I added retinol to my nighttime routine and, from what I understand, you aren't supposed to use AHA/BHA and retinol at the same time, so I alternate between them each night. If it wasn't for the retinol, I'd have kept using the glycolic serum each night.

First, you should exfoliate with a mild chemical exfoliant , use a good primer (I like the Tatcha silk canvas) Don’t apply your foundation with a brush, try your fingers or a dampened sponge, a brush will just kick up dead skin cells and flake off your makeup even more. Finally, just skip setting powder altogether. If you have dry skin, you don’t need it. I have powder to use only in the rare occasion that it’s summer and it’s hot and I MIGHT need to touch up my t-zone, but I normally never use powder to set my makeup.

@ErikaJordyn It could be the amount of powder you are putting under your eyes or the concealer.  It could also be the powder you are using isn’t compatible to your skin type. I like using HOURGLASS - Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder for under the eyes   Maybe you could hydrate your undereyes with KORA ORGANICS - Noni Radiant Eye Oil  a lot of girls on here love it

Something else I just realized: you mentioned using a setting powder not heavily but not lightly either. Try easing up on the amount of powder you use. Apply just a tiny bit of powder. You shouldn’t need much to set concealer.  I apply concealer sparingly under my eyes—usually just in my tear troughs—and I use such a teeny bit of powder, you’d think it wouldn’t work at all. You can just barely see the powder on my brush before I apply it. I do use a rockstar powder (By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder) most of the time, but sometimes I use the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush powder instead in just as tiny an amount, and it works well.

I’ve been using it for about a week and it’s worked wonders for me! I of course suggest grabbing a sample of it first to see if you like it. It could last you a while considering a very small amount goes a long way. The only con that I’ve run into is that if you apply too much of it, your face will feel oily and makes your foundation look caked when you apply it before your makeup routine. But overall, I’ve suggested it to many clients (I work at Sephora) because I personally love it and the Tatcha brand. I suggest the silk canvas primer for dry skin as well. It helps keep your skin soft and moisturized all day.

Have you tried your daytime cream as a night cream? I use YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer day and night on my combo (mostly dry) skin. Some folks with very dry skin might want something more moisturizing than the YTTP cream. In frigid cold weather (January in Chicago), I switch to DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro™ Whipped Moisturizer during the day to save my skin from subzero wind. You could try that one at night.  A general suggestion for whichever cream you choose: make sure your skin is damp (doesn’t have to be soaking wet) when you apply the moisturizer. If your face is dry by the time you reach your moisturization step, tap some water on it, then apply your cream so it can seal in that hydration.

Start with a cream cleanser, I love the REN one. For moisturizer, Herbivore Pink Cloud is my HG. As for overnight, I use Farmacy firming night balm and OMG this stuff is insanely hydrating and a tiny bit goes a loooooong way. Another thing to consider is adding acids to your routine if you haven’t already. Dry skin especially isn’t fond of physical exfoliants, so using chemical ones like glycolic and lactic is super important. Herbivore Prism is a good, gentle start and SundayRiley Good Genes and Ole Henriksen AHA/BHA serum are two you could buildup to. Just ensure you’re using them on a regular basis - start with 1-2nights per week and build up to 3-4 (and then use a retinol 2-3 nights a week). Cleanse skin, apply serum, allow it to absorb, then follow with moisturizer, allow it to absorb, and apply the Farmacy night balm over top. If you’re SUPER dry, I’d also suggest adding a hydrating oil to your routine. My favs are Tarte Maracuja and Herbivore Emerald. I have dry, sensitive skin.

I’m LOVING the Tarte Babassu Foundcealer! It’s super hydrating, creamy, and offers medium, buildable coverage. It definitely needs to bet set with a light powder, especially under the eyes. I also like the Fenty foundation mixed with a drop of oil and over top of a super hydrating primer (I use Herbivore Emerald and Smashbox Primerizer).

@simmisangha my skin is usually dry except for in the summer, when it’s almost normal. Love @GG84‘s suggestion! I use that regularly as well as now incorporating Ole Henriksen’s Instant Transformation Lemon Facial Peel into my summer routine.  You should cross-post your question on the 2019 Mask of the Week Challenege thread, there are lots of helpful BIC-ers there who could offer additional suggestions! https://community.sephora.com/t5/Skincare-Aware/2019-Mask-of-the-Week-Challenge/m-p/4497678/highlight/true#M83796

Since it's partially caused by medical issues, it's hard to pinpoint ingredients that will consistently help. Humidifier, run if you're not. A professional facial with extractions/microdermabrasion may help open the skin, take off some of the dryness, so products can absorb better. Of course mention everything sensitivity related. CAUDALIE - Moisturizing MaskCan be left on overnight, gentle No7 rescuing skin paste - used 1-2weekly for moisture  Itchiness, have you asked about skin mites in abundance? At least with rosacea, skin mites can be overactive and cause itchiness. Soolantra is the rx for it. At night, have you tried Aquaphor ? To help seal in moisture.

@sammyras Can you change the showerhead? They do make filter ones, Sephora sells the T3 version, but the local hardware store has them. Or get a jug of bottled water from the Dollar store and use that as the final rinse. Baby wash might help as well. Aquaphor then thick lotion over it, helps when I'm extra dry. Aquaphor comes in a spray now as well, lotions like Gold Bond eczema.
