@PrEpPyIsLiFe I agree with @JoSometimes that you should get the source of your redness diagnosed. As for redness remedies, I've had success personally with using fresh Rose Face Mask 3.3 oz/ 100 mL to reduce the redness in my skin. Good luck!

@Sam013 Ate you sure it’s oil and not discharge from acne? If it’s discharge, definitely speak with your doctor about it. To determine your skin type, give your face a good cleanse, pat it dry, and wait half an hour. If you notice your skin feels tight, then you have dry skin. If it starts looking shiny or greasy, you have oily skin. If it only happens in certain spots but not across your entire face, you have combination skin. If nothing happens, you have normal skin. Oiliness could be a result of dehydration. Your skin will compensate for the lake of moisture by producing oily sebum. If you find the oiliness to be a problem, you can try The INKEY List Niacinamide Oil Control Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL For dry skin, you can try adding The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Hydrating Face Serum before your moisturizer. Hydration can help reduce the production of sebum.

@charge09 Here’s a combo that I love using. I have sensitive skin too and this works for me without being irritating. The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Hydrating Face Serum Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer 1.86 oz / 52.73 g Another option is #SEPHORA COLLECTION All Day Hydrator Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer 1.69 oz/ 50 mL I sometimes layer a balm on top to seal everything in. During the day I use Etude House SoonJung Cica Balm (k-beauty brand available on Amazon or most major Asian beauty shops). At night, good ol’ fashion Vaseline or Aquaphor. Skincare is a twice-a-day thing for me. I do my AM routine before heading off to work. My PM routine is usually before bed in the summer time but in the winter, I sometimes have to do it when I get home though sometimes I can push it to after dinner. And don’t forget to hydrate from within! Drink plenty of water through out the day. Having a humidifier in the room you are most often in is also helpful.

@andrle I have really dry, sensitive skin too. I used to use The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser 5 oz/ 150 mL and it was super gentle but still effective at cleansing. The addition of hyaluronic acid also helps draw moisture back into the skin to help with the dryness. Now I use either Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser or COSRX Low-pH Good Morning Cleanser, both of which work well with my skin.For exfoliating, I used to use Dermalogica Mini Daily Milkfoliant Exfoliator .45 oz / 13 g. It was very gentle and you could almost use it everyday. Now I use Indeed labs exfoliator II, which I find to be really similar to the Dermalogica one.

@AntonioKevin Skincare is probably more important than makeup. If your skin is dry, makeup is only going to enhance the texture and also draw out any remaining moisture in your skin. If you don’t have a skincare routine, start simple with a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
