La Roche Posay Toleraine Hydrating Cleanser was a savior for me when I was on Accutane and I still love it! Super hydrating, cleans well, easily accessible, and affordable. Honestly, it's the best cleanser that I've tried and I've tried a lot.... I would still suggest using the blueberry cleanser once in awhile after your skin has stabilized. A consistent exfoliation routine is necessary for better skin quality!

@badassMarie wrote:Hello, I am new to the make up world. I noticed that my skin on my face is very dry. I struggle with dark circles under my eyes. Please can anyone help recommend any products that they have used that actually work! Also, looking for a product that is inexpensive. Thanks I've used LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream for a year and it's one of the best moisturizers I've used personally. I've got dry/ combo skin but recently been leaning on the drier side.  I'm not sure how to explain it, but my skin really drinks it up.  It's not just sitting on the surface.  When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels nourished not tight.  I use the moisturizing cleanser and the toner as well from this line and top it off with SUNDAY RILEY - Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil.  I get the small bottle of oil and it's pretty reasonable and lasts a good couple of months.  If I'm watching my budget, I only pick up the moisturizer and go drugstore on the cleanser and toner.

@annaxxx You have LOTS of different options!  Fenty just came out with their new FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Primer, Make Up Forever has a fairly popular one called the MAKE UP FOR EVER - Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer, there's the TARTE - Quench Hydrating Primer - Sea Collection...and a LOT more.  Just search within Sephora's search bar for "hydrating primer" and read a lot of reviews .

I've just been calling it "that unscented scent" to myself for a long time, and I had to make myself get used to it, because I used to not like the smell, but the cream works so well. It's my go-to any time my skin is being extra sensitive. I think it is a touch eucalyptus and also just whatever the other ingredients are. @annypoo @RGbrown

I have super dry skin and most foundations make me look like I have scales and dry patches, even when I prep my skin. I love Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, and it’s all I ever use now. It’s so helpful especially when I’m on the go and don’t have time to prep my skin.

@Blesssyyy incorporate an essence, toner, oils and moisturizer suited for your skin.  Origins frothy face wash and I add the Origins Ginzeng scrub 3 times a week, Fresh Rose Hydration Toner, SKII/Tatcha Essence, Caudalie Beauty Elixir, Leanne Grace Beauty oil for day and The ordinary Rose Hip Oil at night, Kiehls daily concentrate for day and midnight recovery concentrate at night, Drunk Elephant Vitamin C serum for day, J.One Firming serum, Tatcha overnight concentrate at night, Tatcha eye cream , Tatcha renewal cream at night and Fresh Rose Deep Hydration cream for day (I like to mix Coola SPF drops into the moisturizer for extra sun protection).  To seal in everything and to add more hydration I like adding Youth To the People Glow Oil.  I have had a lot of trial and error with my skin and all these products have helped my skin.

I'm on month 3 and it's been rough. definitely get the Laneige Lip sleeping mask, it is the only thing that completely hydrates my super dry lips. I have already gone through two containers. Seriously I put it on maybe six times a day and I am good. Nothing else compares, I have tried Aquaphor and Carmex and bite. This does make your lips look quite glossy and sometimes it hydrates so well that they look wet but it's worth it. Without the Laneige I am almost confident that my lips would be cracked, dry, and cut 24/7. Another con is that it's not the same shape as regular chapstick, it's larger and not as easy to carry around everywhere if you don't want to bring a purse (but still worth it). Good luck with Accutane! Remember to dry water, take fish oil to help with pains, and wear sunscreen .

I’ve seen a whole bunch of reviews saying that The Ordinary serums were drying out the skin. I recommend putting on the serums and then locking it in with a moisturizer. It really does help and I’ve developed no rough or dry skin... I’ve always been told to put serums before moisturizers. Hope this helps

I spend a lot of time at the beach and I use moisturizer first and then Erborian BB cream if I’m going in the water/surfing I use an SPF stick on top of moisturizer instead of the BB cream, but I tend not to need much coverage when I’m tan. Have fun!!

I just received the Fenty Beauty hydrating longwear this week and while it's only been a week... I love it! It doesn't crease or crumble or flake, I don't have to reapply throughout the day. I prefer a more matte look on my foundation but I find with Fenty Beauty, I can make a dewy finish as well and have it last all day.
