Products for dry, acne prone skin

I'm looking for skin care products for dry, I have very little areas that aren't dry and i also flake. Also if there are any makeup recommendations too that'd be great. I currently use Too Faced Born This Way. I would prefer non-comedogenic products, and I'm allergic to Chamomile so no cleansers or face lotions with that in it please. I've been looking into the Boscia product line if there's any feedback on that.

Re: Products for dry, acne prone skin

Heyhey! So I haven't yet found a foundation that I love. I'd say for drug-store brands, Maybelline Fit Me Dewey + Smooth would hold you over while you search for your holy grail.

BUT! I do have a recommendation for the flakeyness. If you aren't using acids yet (BHA or AHA), you're missing out! AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) is usually best for dry-skin but I found that in my personal case BHA deals with my flakiness well at a nice low percentage so I don't have to stress my skin out with higher percentage AHA's. I put it on every day and it makes all my makeup look flake-free. I personally use Paula's Choice 8% AHA gel or Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid. If you're new to acids, try to stick to low %'s because your skin might take time to get used to them.

2% BHA is pretty gentle. An 8% AHA would be low-medium strength. A lot of skin-care products are advertising Glycolic Acid which is a type of AHA. It's more effective and generally better than lactic acid (the other more popular AHA), but those products are generally more expensive and have more added ingredients.

I have not heard good things about the Boscia line unfortunately. I would recommend visiting reddit.com/r/skincareaddiction to get more specific reviews!
