Primer and oil free foundation

Can you wear a oil primer with oil free foundation I’m looking to mix the hourglass primer serum with the top faced born this way foundation. Will they mix together all right or should I switch primers ?? **extra info** I have normal to dry skin, I’ve been using the Fenty primer with born this way. Recently I got a recommendation to try the primer serum no 28 from hourglass for some extra hydration.

I would not suggest this, based on personal past experiences. If you are mixing a water based product with a silicone based product, they will not mix or blend together. I always found that my foundation would just sit on top of my skin and not be absorbed, which made me feel greasy (I have extremely dry skin). I find that you will get a more flawless finish by mixing water products together, and same with silicone products.
