Good serums for under makeup?

Hi everyone! I have combo skin but currently am leaning a little dry. I'm looking for something to brighten and hydrate my skin and sit beautifully under my foundation. I read recently in a refinery 29 article that you can prevent your foundation from losing moisture to your skin and looking like it's sitting on top of your face by using a moisturizing serum underneath. Wondering if anyone with similar problems has any tried and trues! Thanks!

Something with hyaluronic acid as the main ingredient would work well!  That will combat the dryness and deeply hydrate the skin.  You'll want to try a few and see what works best under the foundation you use.  Sometimes the ingredients don't play well together and start to pill or look weird throughout the day - it just depends on the product combination. 

That said, I love the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench serum (the moisturizer is good too).  It has a super light gel texture that would sit nicely under foundation.
