Best cleanser/ moisturizer for dry skin that tends to break out?

I need something super hydrating (but not sticky!) for the colder months that won't clog my pores and cause breakouts.  I loved Philosophy hope in a jar for dry skin but it makes me break out 😞  The purity face wash made my face so dry it cracked and peeled.  Thanks!

Although it is a drug store brand, I recommend Cerave as an ideal cleanser for the skin conditions that you describe.  It will calm down and hydrate your skin without breaking it out.  When I started using it, my breakouts completely disappeared.    I'm still looking for the best moisturizer, though.

@Moonbabysmom, Check out REN’s Zostera Marina Cleansing Mild Wash for Dry Skin. It contains natural ingredients to boost hydration and boost skin lipid content, and it removes makeup.

Try this one from Benefit cosmetics......has sodium pca, a great moisturizer, without being heavy and oily.

Try products that are calming and soothing. Add a moisture spray to refresh and calm your skin, instead of adding too heavy a moisturizer and clogging pores.

I think the AHAs and other acids, are too strong for your skin, and causing you to peel.

I also have very dry skin but I have to say that I don't have a problem with break outs.  Sooo.. that being said I can tell you what I use for my dry skin and maybe it will work for you.  Get samples if you can, to try it out.  I started using the Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals facial moisturizer.  It doesn't have the prettiest smell but you get used to it.  Also I'm trying out the Nude Skincare Cleansing Facial Oil.  I've used it a couple of times in the last week and it really hydrates my dry skin.  I haven't noticed any breakouts with it but it may not work for you.  Hope this was of some help to you.
