HELP

What’s a good foundation for darker skin?

Re: HELP

I'll list some, but it helps to know what kind of finish (matte/dewy/luminous/tint) and skin type (oily, oily/combo, dry, dry combo, etc)

I'm oily combo and like matte & luminous @JennnnnnnnnnnJ

Tints:

Ami Colé Skin-Enhancing Tinted Moisturizer

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint

Concealers (sheered out, can work as foundation)

PAT McGRATH LABS Sublime Perfection Concealer

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer with Medium Coverage

DIOR Backstage Concealer

NATASHA DENONA Hy-Glam Brightening & Hydrating Medium to Full Coverage Crease Proof Serum Concealer(This is great if you're dry, and heck, even if you're oily)

SEPHORA COLLECTION Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Hydrating Concealer 13P(Not my shade, just tagging the product)

Foundations

PAT McGRATH LABS Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Weightless Foundation(luminous/matte)

Too Faced Born This Way Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation Caramel(I haven't use in a while, runs a little orange, but lasts and fairly matte)

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place 24-Hour Longwear Foundation 6W2 Nutmeg(Not necessarily this shade, but this foundation has a nice matte finish and longevity)

LYS Beauty Triple Fix Serum Foundation- Nice medium coverage, more on the hydrating side

SEPHORA COLLECTION Best Skin Ever Liquid FoundationThis have nice medium coverage, and can't beat that price

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation 330Haven't used in a while, shade range has expanded, so if you want this, try to get matched in store.  Also, it dries down slightly heavy, so I've always sheered it out with one of their primers to customize it.

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Full Coverage Foundationand NARS Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare Medium Coverage Foundation  Nars has a naming system they love to ignore, but when you use it, makes matching up your shade easy, and it's got a decent range for deeper shades

Re: HELP

Hummmm, have you checked out Danessa Myricks line of foundations, skin tints or skin Blurring balm? I love her products for my face and it looks like she has a good shade range @JennnnnnnnnnnJ

Re: HELP

@JennnnnnnnnnnJ  I didn't want your question to stay unanswered, so although I have lighter skin, I'm going to offer some general suggestions. I hope that's okay.

If you go under the Brands menu on the Sephora website, the pop-down menu shows an option for BIPOC-Owned Brands. Scroll down a bit and you see which ones offer makeup. I've had good experiences with Fenty Beauty and have been wanting to try HUDA Beauty and Rare Beauty, and all three have really good reputations. I'm sure there's lots of other brands that are great there as well, but to help you narrow it down, let's start with those three.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Powder Foundation(if you like powder - my preference, I admit)

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation 175

HUDA BEAUTY #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Foundation 530R Coffee Bean

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation 530N

I hope this helps. Keep in mind that it may take some trial and error to find the foundation that's right for your skin. Good luck!
