sephora credit card still not working

This seems to be a common issue. Was able to order with *temp* card oninitial card approval. After that, it wouldnt work. Kept saying toverify that the numbers are correct etc. Received the permanent card andstill have the same issue. Have not been able to use it. Called customer service and was told to call the number on the card. Called the number on the card and they say there is nothing wrong with my card or account and it should be accepted without any issues. They suggested issuing anew card with a new number, but stated that it will most likely have the same issue since the temp card plus the permanent card both did it. She also said they werent aware of any issues like this. What do I do?? ok FOLLOW UP: I decided to call the bank again and try to figure this out. Apparently the sephora store card is NOT supposed to have an expiration date or a 3 digit security code. However, my sephora card does indeed have both, plus a chip in it. So, it needed to be activated which is typically not necessary as a store specific card does not require activation, according the rep at the bank. So that is what was causing the issue. She had no record at all of my card having an expiration date or a 3 digit security code. It didnt show in their system on my account. Only my 16 digit card number showed, as usually that is all that a store specific card has. She had to add the expiration date and activate the card and I was able to place my order immediately. She had me try to submit the order while she was still on the phone, to verify that the date and code were the issue. It worked. She said she has no idea why this card would have those or a chip in it. Those features are all for the regular credit cards which you can use anywhere. So if anyone else has this problem... call the bank listed on the back of your card and tell them to activate the card for you, even though it's not supposed to need it. Explain that it has an expiration date and a 3 digit security code and so it needs to be activated like a regular credit card (for some unknown reason).
