milk makeup bronzer stick won't twist up

I received the Milk Makeup Bronzer Stick as a gift recently and went to try to roll it up for the first time and it made a strange clicking noise and the product will not roll up. I also use the Milk Makeup Blush Stick  and have never had this problem, so I believe the packaging might be faulty.
