Why is my store sephora saying they’re not doing returns but the website says you’re able to make a return?

I called my sephora awhile ago asking how they’re doing refunds and returns in store and they’re saying they’re not due to COVID. so i’m confused. cuz on the app it says you’re able to. I’m just worried i won’t be able to make a return and get my refund after the 2 month mark.
