UPS says arrived but there is no package

Hi,
My friend sent me a BD gift and the UPS tracking shows delivered yesterday. I never saw any UPS and don't have any package in front of the door. I contacted UPS and they said they have filed a claim - But what happened to the package?

UPS said Sephora is responsible -  HOw is it possible? I really think my package was misdelivered.

Can you please help?
