Stranger used my phone number for account creation without my authorization

I went to a physical store today and when prompted to sign in with my account, I put in my phone number and an account that isn't mine with a different name popped up. I have owned my phone number for nearly a decade and am extremely concerned about someone else using my personal information without my knowledge or permission. I have already called customer service  and they were unable to assist me. I am seeking help in removing my phone number from the account.
