Shu Uemura Lightbulb Foundation SPF blacked out

I placed a Sephora order for the Shu Uemura Lightbulb foundation a few weeks ago and I received the product with the SPF 25 PA+++ blacked out on both the box and bottle itself. This made me concerned whether this was an old product, causing the SPF to be no longer valid. I checked the batch code and it looks like manufacture date is June 2018, but general shelf life is 36 months so Check Cosmetics has it as "valid for at least the next 23 months." I did a brief search and didn't find any articles about Shu Uemura doing a formula change on these either. Posting this on the CS board; can any mods shed some light on this?

Thank you for your patience! Canadian regulations about SPF differ from those in other markets, and this can be reflected in the packaging. I'm sorry for any confusion caused, and I hope this helps to clarify!

Excellent question!!!!! I hope a Moderator answers you as this is definitely a safety concern! Why would Sephora send a product out like that!?!? Doesn’t seem up to their high quality standards. I would not use if it was me.
