Your best bet would be to reach out to Customer Service. But can you clarify the problem you're having so we can best provide some sort of response?

 

You said that Sephora denied your return because the mail took over 14 days to arrive back to Sephora. The Sephora Return policy by mail for the US is the item needs to arrive within 60 days of purchase for a full refund. For 61-90 days, it's store credit. Anything outside of 90 days won't receive store credit nor a refund.

 

However, the policy also states that it can take up to 2 weeks (14 days) for your return by mail to be processed (for you to receive the store credit/it may take longer for your bank to refund the funds).

I did reach out to them and all they’re doing is giving me copy and paste answers. They say that they received my order out of the return policy. Looks like i am out of store credit and my product itself. I had no idea Sephora could be so fishy.

@Anonymous Did you keep the tracking number for your return and track the package? Do you know how many days it took for it to arrive back to Sephora? Or even how many days after your purchase that you sent it back?

I sent it before the 90 day time frame and i sent the actual package on sep 27th and it arrived oct 11th. Thank you for helping me!

@Anonymous It's the date of your purchase, not the date when you received your item that you starting counting from. 

 

Even if we use the date it arrived (July 12th), then you're outside of the return time frame according to the return policy. I'm not sure why the 14 days was mentioned...

 

September 10th would be Day 60 (the last day that Sephora would need to receive your return in order to provide you with a full refund). So you were out of time before for a rull refund before you even mailed it back. 

October 10th is Day 90 (the last day that Sephora would need to receive your return in order to provide you with store credit). Mailing it back on September 27th was cutting it close, depending on when the purchase was.

 

Since your purchase date would have been before July 12th, the deadline would have been sooner. This is just to give you an example. 

 

So if Sephora arrived on October 11th, then you're definitely outside of the return window unfortunately. The timelines are set out in the return policy, which I'll link to again:

Definitely disappointing for it to happen! It can definitely be worth spending some time looking over the return policy for reassurance prior to making a purchase.

@Anonymous in the policy @lachaton linked, it states if returned outside the return window, you will not receive credit nor the product back.

 

It's not usual for companies to keep the item, they aren't going to send it back on their dime. Always read through return policies fully before purchasing.
