Sephora Did Not Honour 20% Fragrance Coupon

Has anyone else had issue's in Canada with Sephora honouring the 20% fragrance coupon code sent by email?

 

I was ready to checkout and the coupon did not work. I contacted support and they said that this promo only applies to the USA and not Canada. Why send me the email then? I am clearly a Canadian customer.
