Scratched Giftcard numbers and PIN

Hi there, so I recently got gifted a unused giftcard for Sephora. But I noticed most of the PIN and certain numbers were scratched off. Am I still able to scan the barcode at least at a Sephora store in person? Or do I still need the pin to complete the in person purchase? I’d be pretty bummed, so if it doesn't work, could I possibly be able to receive a different giftcard? Thanks.
