Same day delivery never came

hi i ordered a same day deleivery at 2:30 yesterday well before the 5 pm cut off. It never came. No email. No notification. Nothing. Is just still processing.. the customer service chat is still down so I had to call in only to sit on hold then talk to the most unhelpful man who essentially said it be like that sometimes and maybe it will come before evening today so maybe I could waste another day sitting around my apt? No timeline, no update, no help, just a sit tight honey. Could you figure your stuff out Sephora? For a service that costs extra this is abysmal customer service. I get things go wrong but could we get some open communication and transparency?

I placed my same day delivery at 2 pm yesterday and it said that I would get it yesterday I just got it it is next day 2:20 pm and I bought it to give it as a gift yesterday now I have to wait till Monday.
