Rouge $100 reward used $8 at check out

I was waiting for the Sephora sale to redeem the Rouge $100 reward. I couldn't see the reward it in my basket this weekend when I tried to place my order.  I didn't realize that when I placed an order on my phone on the Sephora app last month under $10, that I had inadvertently used the reward and now the reward has disappeared. Why would the app ask to use a $100 credit on an $8 product, when it knows that the remainder disappears? I'm a newbie to the $100 reward and did not read the fine print of it needing to be used within one transaction:( 

When I used chat, the BA said they would send the inquiry to a different department. I would really like to see the $90 back- has anyone had this experience?

I'm sorry for the trouble! The Rouge Reward cannot be combined with the Savings Event discount, and the full $100 must be used in a single transaction. Any remaining amount would be foreited. I'll send you a message shortly to follow up.
