Question about Order

I bought a perfume about 3 weeks ago with my card (no paypal, klarna, etc.). Originally, the package did not arrive the first time, so a moderator helped me get another package shipped to me. This time, I received it, but it arrived late. The product was supposed to be a gift for my sister, but the package got to my place after her birthday.

I ended up trying to return the item at a Sephora store in person, but the cashier informed me that they could only give me store credit, which doesn't make sense since it hasn't been 30 days since my order was placed the second time. She recommended that I contact customer support about the return.

What do I do? I printed a shipping return label, but I really don't want to have 240$ worth of store credit.
