Package has been "in transit" in the same city for a few days?

Howdy, has anyone had this issue before? I had placed an order on 9/19/21 and the expected delivery was 9/24 (which I knew was not realistic as it was far too quick for the KVD foundation balm I had ordered). It's 9/30/21, but the last update I'd ever received was on 9/28/21, saying it was still in transit. However, this order has been in the same city from 9/25--9/28. Is there any possible way to receive updated information? My fear is this package has totally been lost in transit and I'm starting to worry. So sorry for the long post, I was just trying to see if anyone had faced this issue before!
