Over charge in local taxes!

Snohomish county sales tax is supposed to be 7.9%, yet I was charged 10.6% (more than King county’s 10.25%) during my latest trip. I literally drove 30 mins away from the city just to shop in Snohomish county due to better taxes, but they decided to charge me more than I would’ve paid at the Sephora 5 mins away from me in King county?? WTH is this about??? Why does Sephora keep charging everyone sales taxes that are more than the local sales tax?? Where is that difference going? Very sketchy if you ask me.

I just experienced the same thing. It resulted in $30 worth of tax! I don’t understand and want my $30 (give or take) back
