Order was cancelled but item is instock

Hi , I made an online purchase last week during the Rouge Sale with 20% off and my order was confirmed and estimated to be delivered by Nov 29. However I received an email yesterday ( Nov 22)  that my order was cancelled due to " out of stock inventory " but I went in store today the item was in stock. Why was my order cancelled and not fulfilled if the item is in stock? Now I have to repurchase it without my discount and the store could not honor this? This is completely frustrating.
