Order modified and reward deleted

I’ve had yet another frustrating online ordering experience today - in addition to the item I was purchasing, I chose the two samples I wanted plus a 100 point Reward. I added the item to my cart, then the Reward, clicked on the sample options at the bottom of the page and the ones I had just chosen were gone. I chose two others that I didn’t particularly want and checked out.  I received an order confirmation email including exactly what I had ordered, then a few minutes later received another email saying my order had been modified and the reward was no longer available. I used to really enjoy Sephora rewards and samples and their availability was quite reliable; these days, it’s truly hit or miss whether these “bonus” items will be included in an order regardless of an order confirmation.
