One point per dollar?

Hello, I just placed an order in which I also redeemed 500 points for the Laura Mercier set.  On the receipt page I noticed that only 59 points were added to my Beauty Bank, even though my order total BEFORE tax was $68.00.  I know that $59 is the USD price and $68 is the CAD price, but had I waited and purchased in store, I would have got my extra points.  Are points only awarded for the American price when shopping online?  I know it's not much, but they add up quickly, especially when you spend as much as i do.
