Klarna return

I returned a few items from my order 15 days ago in store, but Klarna has yet to update my invoice. Their customer service told me I need to sort it out with Sephora and that they will pause my invoice in the meantime. THEN take action after 21 days. I recall having this issue with a return last year, but the refund didn’t take this long to process. Is this normal?

@Valenciaga If you paid with Klarna or Afterpay on an online order, and a Sephora store receives your new or gently used item within 30 days of purchase, the purchase price will be refunded to a credit or debit card of your choice. This refund will not  be applied to your Klarna or Afterpay account and you must continue to make payments to Klarna or Afterpay per the original agreement.


If you paid with Klarna or Afterpay on an online order, and a Sephora store receives your new or gently used item within 31–60 days of purchase, the purchase price will be refunded to a Sephora store credit that can be used at Sephora stores but is not valid for use on sephora.com. This refund will not be applied to your Klarna or Afterpay account and you MUST continue to make payments to Klarna or Afterpay per the original agreement. Hi! 

I’m having this exact issue. However it’s been 3 months. I have returned it In store and the associate who helped with my return never told me to insert any card it just said it went back to Klarna. Associate didn’t know how the return with Klarna would work.  However Klarna hasn’t received a refund and it’s been 3 months. I called customer service and they told me to go to store. I go to the store the manager and she is saying there isn’t anything they can do and to call customer service. I called them again and the agent told me “I’m going to keep repeating myself we have different systems there’s nothing we can do” so rude. No one can help me. PLEASE Can I get a gift card at least.

After weeks of back and forth with Sephora and Klarna. Sephora refunded my debit card to pay Klarna. I believe it’s because they could see the refund was in limbo. It’s such a headache but hopefully they can extend you the same courtesy. Never use Klarna again unless you know you’re keeping the items for sure.
